Linear guides get rack-and-pinion option
HPC Drives has extended its range of Drylin linear guides to include a rack-and-pinion option.
This permits considerable savings in costs, the company states.
The housings in which the high-performance polymer bearings are directly installed correspond to the conventional housings for recirculating ball bushes in terms of their external and connecting dimensions and can thus be directly interchanged.
The range currently consists of two types of housing which are most frequently used in linear applications.
Other types or dimensions are available on request.
Like the adapters, the Drylin standard housings are designed with a bearing clearance of 2/100 to 9/100.
They can also be provided with other bearing clearances on request.
Both closed and open configurations are available in the series.
