Drive nuts convert to linear motion

An Ondrives product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 20, 2005

Rino Industries are pleased to announce the launch of a new range of linear drive nuts into their new 2005 product range.

Rino Industries has added a new range of linear drive nuts to its new 2005 product range.

Rino linear drive nuts are nonpositive drives which convert the rotation of a plain round shaft into linear motion.

The effect is achieved by pressing specially crowned rolling rings against the shaft and allowing them to roll on the surface of the shaft at an angle which determines their pitch.

Their main features include: backlash-free operation, overload protection, low maintenance, linked nuts for higher side thrust, resistance to vibration, high efficiency, free-movement lever and left and right hand pitch on the same shaft.
