Linear guides get rack-and-pinion option
HPC Drives has extended its range of Drylin linear guides to include a rack-and-pinion option.
It is easy for customers to calculate around 90% of applications knowing only the mass to be decelerated, the impact velocity at th eshock absorber, the propelling force and the cycles per hour Self-compensating shock absorbers have an operating temperature range of between -10C and +70C and they are provided with a steel body with a black oxide finish and either a stainless steel or chrome plated piston rod as standard.
The adjustment knob is locked with a lock screw which must be slackened with a 1.5mm Allen key before carrying out adjustment.
After installing the shock absorber, the user cycles the machine a few times and alters the adjustment so that optimum deceleration is achieved..
These units are self-contained and may be installed in any mounting position.
An integral mechanical stop is built into the front end of the units and an optional stop collar can be installed with this device if desired.
