Leadscrew diameters are available from 10 to 120mm and the standard length is 1000mm.

One of the most popular product areas within the Ondrives portfolio is the company's range of trapezoidal rolled leadscrews and nuts Rolled leadscrews are processed by cold-formed threading (also known as rolling), which implies the cold-forming of a metal bar by pressing during rotation with die tools, in order to obtain a thread or a knurling

The actual process of rolling allows for high production volumes and a significant saving in material as the diameter used is below nominal and unlike cutting, it has no chips and thus no material loss, meaning savings can be passed onto customers.

The roller finishing on the surface considerably increases the life time of the screw or of the nut, improves fatigue strength and eliminates the starting points of the fracture.

Leadscrew diameters are available from 10 to 120mm and the standard length is 1000mm, although 2 and 3m lengths are common.

Steel and stainless, right and left hand threads and one and two start versions are available - all with nuts to suit.

There is a wide range of nuts to choose from - steel and bronze round, hexagonal steel, flanged bronze, square steel and black nylon 6.6 round nuts to name but a few.

New to the trapezoidal nuts are the Iglidur range with are available in both round and flanged and are self lubricating as standard.

They are particularly resistant to dirt, maintenance free, corrosion free, have quiet operation, temperature resistant up to 90C and have very lightweight vibration dampening characteristics.
