Linear guides get rack-and-pinion option
HPC Drives has extended its range of Drylin linear guides to include a rack-and-pinion option.
Both fasteners have the a number of advantages over the separate application of a traditional washer and nut: a single operation instead of two, leading to half the labour cost; increased productivity; easier installation in difficult and confined spaces; and simpler stock keeping and inventory control.
The nuts are made from low carbon steel SAE1010 with a Rockwell hardness of C-30 maximum, and the washers are SAE1050-1065 and have a hardness within HRC40-46 maximum.
The washers are free to rotate on the nuts and each is available in either a yellow or white chromate finish.
Nonstandard sizes can be made to customer specifications where required.
