Catalogue features timing pulleys and belts

An Ondrives product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 12, 2009

A range of Generation III Synchroflex timing pulleys and belts has been introduced in the precision gears section of the 1,040-page Ondrives mechanical drive components catalogue.

The timing belts are manufactured from a steel-reinforced polyurethane material and feature a very high power metric pitch AT profile with trapezoidal toothform.

The composite PU carcass (in red) and bifilar 's' and 'z' twist spirally wound tension members and the tension member loadings Ftadm = 787N.

Sizes vary from 5mm pitch and a 10mm belt width up to 10mm pitch, 50mm belt width as standard with intermediate and larger belt widths available on request.

The pulleys to match are made from aluminium with a zinc-plated flange, and are centre-drilled or pilot-bored, which is toleranced.

There are two execution types available, and technical specifications vary from 0.8kW input power up to 15kW, and torque from 7.64Nm to 143.25Nm.

Further technical details on tooth shear strength, tension member tensile strength and flexibility are available from the catalogue.
