Audio and multimedia CDs spread the word on Hart

The Hart Communication Foundation has released two new Hart educational tools.

The Hart Communication Foundation (HCF) has released two new Hart educational tools - the recently updated "Complete Hart guide 3rd edition" CD-ROM and the all-new "Power of Hart" audio training CD.

The Hart guide CD is provided free of charge to industry users worldwide.

The Power of Hart CD is available to HCF member companies for a nominal fee.

"Our goal is to increase opportunities for industry professionals to learn more about the benefits of utilising the full value of Hart Communication", says HCF Director Ron Helson.

"We believe the Hart guide is a must reference for engineers and technicians, and the audio CD will be invaluable to the sales force of any company providing Hart-related products, systems and solutions".

The easy-to-use, multimedia 3rd edition Hart guide is a valuable resource on the Hart technology.

The updated version features recent Hart application success stories and strategies from process control companies around the world.

The CD includes an overview of how Hart works, ways to fully use the power of Hart, an application guide for getting the most from Hart systems, and an online catalogue of Hart products and suppliers.

"New Hart-capable control system interfaces and cost-effective integration solutions make it easier than ever to get intelligent information from Hart devices into plant systems for real-time applications", Helson adds.

"The Hart guide CD contains information to help users take advantage of this cost-saving opportunity and extract more value from the Hart-enabled devices already in their plants".

The Power of Hart CD (recorded June 2003) features Helson, Jim Cobb of Emerson Process Management, Joe Serafin of Honeywell, and industry consultant Chuck Micallef discussing the value and benefits of Hart Communication in all phases of the plant life cycle - from planning and commissioning to asset productivity improvements.

"We produced the CD in a conversational style for sales people to listen to during commute time", Helson says.

"The CD educates the listener on the benefits of Hart Communication, prepares salespeople for Hart discussions with their customers and shows users new ways to utilise the power of Hart-enabled devices to lower operating costs and improve plant availability".
