Nominations open for "plant of the year"
award

Nominations are encouraged from all world areas and will be accepted until 28th May 2004.
The Hart Plant of the Year is unique in the process automation industry.
It is the only public award presented to end user companies to recognise ingenuity in the application of Hart technology.
The award showcases end user companies and their suppliers who have demonstrated creativity in using the full capabilities of Hart communication technology.
"Hart is used in process plant applications worldwide.
At least 14 million Hart-enabled devices have been installed since 1990.
In today's economy the challenge is finding better ways to use what you have.
With this award, we recognise the innovators who are meeting that challenge", says HCF Executive Director Ron Helson.
Nominations should include a description of how the plant uses the intelligent capabilities of Hart-enabled devices in real-time applications with plant control, safety and asset management systems to improve operations, lower costs and increase plant availability.
Nominations are accepted from all world areas.
Suppliers can nominate customers and end users can nominate themselves.
Background information and supporting materials are welcome, but are not required for consideration.
HCF representatives will review submissions and interview selected candidates.
The 2004 Hart Plant of the Year and selected finalists will be recognised at the ISA Conference and Exhibition in Houston, Texas (4th October 2004).
Hart Plant of the Year application stories will be published in major trade magazines and on the worldwide web.
Previous Hart Plant of the Year recipients include the DuPont DeLisle manufacturing facility in Pass Christian, Mississippi (2002) and the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department in Detroit, Michigan (2003).
