Rotary gear pump manufacturer Varley Pumps has announced a further increase in new orders, culminating in record sales for the company in 2006.
Rotary gear pump manufacturer, Varley Pumps, a division of the Hayward Tyler Group, has announced a further increase in new orders, culminating in record sales for the company in 2006.
Recent wins valued at GBP300,000 for the business include an order from Simex Defence to build four new hydraulic transfer pumps for the Canadian Navy.
The pumps are to be installed on HMCS Windsor Submarine (Trafalgar) to replace the original Varley units that were installed in the 1960s, when Varley was known as FMC (Food Machine Corp).
The pumps are scheduled for delivery in May 2007.
The company has also received an order to supply 20 oil pumps to Waukesha, Wisconsin for its APG 2000/3000 engine.
The oil pumps, prelubrication pumps and engine pressure regulator valves (module) will be supplied in lots of five pumps until April 2007.
Further orders are expected in 2007 for a new pump lubrication module.

Varley Pumps manufactures a range of double helical gear pumps and positive displacement pumps for oil transfer, process feed, forced lubrication and seal flush systems.
Its products are accredited to the American Petroleum Institute standard.
