Hayward Tyler, a manufacturer of pumps and motors for the power and oil and gas industries, has delivered three 2,500kW subsea motors to Aker Kvaerner Subsea.
Aker Kvaerner Subsea ordered the subsea motors to drive its seawater injection pumps on the Statoilhydro Tyrihans project in the Norwegian Sea.
The variable speed, super synchronous motors will operate at speeds of 2,500 to 4,000rpm.
