Nickel pellets come in smaller quantities

A Hart Coating Technology product story

Hart Coating Technology is now offering 6-8mm diameter INCO S nickel pellet in standard 2.5kg packages.

Obtaining raw materials in small quantities is becoming increasingly difficult as large manufacturers standardise on packaging sizes that suit their major customers.

In the case of nickel anode materials for electroplating applications this problem has been exacerbated by the huge increase in the world cost of nickel metal and its associated products during the past two years or so.

The LME price of nickel has, in fact, risen from around $4500/t in 1999 to over $25,000/t during the last few months.

Consequently the cost of a standard 50kg pack of nickel pieces for electroplating or electroforming can now be in the region of GBP 1000 - a prohibitive price for users of small quantities.

In response to this problem West Midlands-based specialist supplier Hart Coating Technology is now offering 6-8mm diameter INCO S nickel pellet in standard 2.5kg packages.
