HiTek Power has introduced the SM10 10W simmer module for use with the flashlamps used to pump YAG lasers and in other intense pulsed-light systems.

Powered from a 24V DC supply, which makes it particularly well suited to medical applications, the compact SM10 will provide up to 100mA of simmer current at 100V.

The unit incorporates a trigger pulse output to drive an external trigger transformer.

Custom versions are available, either as stand-alone supplies or integrated into a dedicated flash lamp driver unit.

Versions with 25 or 50W outputs will be added to the range before the end of this year.
