Type 200 flow sensor gets WRAS approval

A Huba Control AG product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 12, 2009

Huba's Type 200 flow sensor has received approval from WRAS.

This flow sensor is based on Karman's vortex trail principle, that the shedding of vortices on a damming body in the flow is directly proportional to the speed of the flow.

A piezoelectric paddle detects the generated vortices and analyses the values with integrated electronics.

With no moving parts, the flow sensor is particularly well-suited to applications such as integral pump flow sensors for central heating boilers.
