Miniature lead screws ideal for
instrumentation

Kerk lead screw assemblies are distinguished by their high accuracy, long-life and quiet operation, and new Kerk Mini Series brings these proven features to miniature drive system builders

Kerk lead screw assemblies, from Huco Engineering Components, are distinguished by their high accuracy, long-life and quiet operation Their credentials also include the option of a patented anti-backlash nut design, a feature which has removed the problems associated with premature wear and varying loads from a range of motion control applications

With the introduction of the new Kerk Mini Series, these proven features are now also available to miniature drive system builders.

Medical instrumentation and animatronics are set to be early beneficiaries.

Mini lead screws are available in standard diameters of 3.18mm and 4.76mm with leads from 0.5mm to 10mm.

Positional repeatability is to within 0.0013mm and standard lead accuracy is better than 0.0006mm/mm.

Available with standard plain nuts and as anti-backlash assemblies, the Mini Series is based on 303 stainless steel lead screws, available with Kerk's proprietary, long-life TFE coating.

All the nuts are maintenance free, manufactured in self-lubricating polyacetal and designed to run smoothly on the precision rolled screws.

For positioning applications, Mini NTB or NTG nuts may be specified which do not require high spring forces to maintain their bi-directional, anti-backlash characteristics.

Furthermore, they provide zero backlash with drag torque as low as 0.004Nm.

The NTG nuts offer the additional facility to pre-set the drag torque to accord with system requirements. Request a free brochure from Huco Dynatork ...
