Custom electroforms without significant
tooling
With the specialised electroforming process perfected by Servometer, most custom electroforms require no significant tooling, so several prototype variations can be made and evaluated
Servometer Corporation can now produce precision, customer electroforms, for use in a myriad of high-tech applications Cold shields, wave-guides, precision tubes, lightweight rigid components
Servometer Electroforms can be made as small as 0.020 in.
(0.5mm) diameter out of nickel, copper, gold or silver, or a combination thereof.
Servometer Electroforms - now available in the UK from Huco - are produced by electrodepositing a thin layer of nickel on an aluminium substrate of any shape, then chemically dissolving the aluminium to leave the tough, thin metal wall.
With the specialised electroforming process perfected by Servometer, most custom electroforms require no significant tooling, so several prototype variations can be made and evaluated, as opposed to being locked into a design by expensive dies or moulds.
