Lightweight titanium coupling is a tough performer

A Huco Dynatork product story

A novel titanium Multi-Beam coupling answers customer demand for a lightweight coupling with high fatigue life and strength.

In response to customer demand for a lightweight coupling with high fatigue life and strength, Huco has added a titanium Multi-Beam coupling to its range.

Now available in standard sizes and to special order, the Multi-Beam Ti helical beam coupling combines the benefits of a compact, one-piece construction and zero backlash with exceptional strength.

Applications in the aerospace, instrumentation and medical equipment sectors will be clear beneficiaries.

Its manufacture from titanium gives Multi-Beam Ti the advantage of low weight, similar to aluminium, yet a fatigue performance better than that of stainless steel.

Although marginally more expensive than its stainless-steel counterpart, it provides a solution for particularly demanding applications.

Manufacturers can now choose a standard coupling rather than resort to in-house or subcontract manufacture of a special.

In common with others in the Huco Multi-Beam range, the Ti models may be specified with either clamp or set-screw fixings for quick and easy connection to - or removal from - shafts.

They are manufactured to ISO9001:2000 quality standards at the company's factory in Hertford.

Enquiries for special sizes and nonstandard bore combinations are welcomed.
