Two-piece coupling connects long shafts
A new two-piece bellows coupling is designed for connecting long sections of shaft.
Although the majority of motion control requirements are easily met by Huco's standard miniature coupling range, from time to time a nonstandard approach is needed to accommodate specific or unusual operating criteria As the UK's leading manufacturer of small precision couplings and indeed the supplier of the widest range of coupling types in Europe, Huco is eminently able to provide the best solution for the job within the available budget

The MTL precision magnet tensioning brakes range comprises six basic models covering a variety of torques, loads, speeds and application configurations.
One novel solution that has now been integrated into the Huco standard product programme is a plastic moulded coupling, originally conceived to connect long sections of shaft.
The aim was to minimise the number of bearings needed to support the shafts thereby reducing cost, weight and system complexity.
The result of the development work was a two-piece, single bellows coupling able to accommodate +/-2 degrees of angular misalignment.
A key benefit of the construction is that it is quick and easy to clamp around the shaft providing both good support and positive engagement. Request a free brochure from Huco Dynatork ...
