Guide screw speeds into position

As the new Kerk Rapid Guide Screw from Huco is not limited by critical screw speed, this latest addition to the range operates with both high rotational and linear speeds, even over long spans.

As the new Kerk Rapid Guide Screw from Huco is not limited by critical screw speed, this latest addition to the range operates with both high rotational and linear speeds, even over long spans Thanks to a wide range of leads, the Rapid Guide Screw can achieve speeds up to 1.5m/s

This performance rivals belts and cables while offering the superior positioning accuracy, repeatability and axial stiffness inherent to a leadscrew based system.

Standard leads provide 0.100, 0.200, 0.500 and 1.00in of travel per revolution, but the Rapid Guide Screw also benefits from a range optional Imperial and metric leads.

The choices include non-back-driving leads for vertical applications, eliminating the need for a brake.

This compact, competitively priced, plug-and-play assembly comprises a precision aluminium guide and carriage and is driven by a precision rolled, stainless steel leadscrew.

The use of specially developed materials for the screw operation assures a long service life.

The nut is made from a polymer unique to Kerk and the rail has a special TFE coating.

The profile of the Rapid Guide Screw has been designed to provide exceptional torsional stiffness and stability for its size and weight.

The integral mounting base allows support over the assembly's entire length if required; lengths up to 2.4m can be easily built and longer lengths are available on special request.

The Rapid Guide Screw is supplied with a wear-compensating, antibacklash driven carriage and additional driven or passive carriages can be added.

Further options include linear guides without drive screw. Request a free brochure from Huco Dynatork ...
