Huco Dynatork springs have controllable torsion

A Huco Dynatork product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 20, 2009

Huco Dynatork is introducing a range of machined torsion springs.

The springs' torsion rate can be more accurately controlled because their dimensions - cross section, pitch and length - are said to be more precise and their structure is said to have more consistent mechanical properties than wire versions.

Huco Dynatork is able to manufacture its springs in aluminium but the main focus of its standard range is on materials that provide greater reliability.

The range includes springs made from steel and stainless steel, including a 17/4 PH grade that can be hardened.

The company also produces special springs, from one-offs to batch quantities.

It can also machine a spring as an integral part of another component.

It can cut a beam into a solid shaft, effectively creating two shafts joined by a helical spring.
