William Hughes continues to expand its stocks of specialist wire and can now offer the widest range of spooled and cut to length wire available in the UK.
William Hughes continues to expand its stocks of specialist wire and can now offer the widest range of spooled and cut to length wire available in the UK.
From its factory in Dorset, William Hughes supplies customers across the world with wire for many different applications and its engineering and supply resources are probably the most advanced in the industry.
The vast range of wires available from William Hughes includes fine wires in diameters from 0.1mm, with larger diameters up to 9mm in spring steel and 11mm in mild steel.
The wire has many applications in the electrical engineering, manufacturing and aerospace industries.
William Hughes is also one of the few remaining suppliers of specialist piano and music wire.
In addition to stocking wire to aerospace and British Standards in both imperial and metric dimensions, the company is also an appointed distributor for a number of wire suppliers.
These include US based Little Falls Alloys, manufacturers of nonferrous wire including beryllium copper, and the Swedish Manufacturer Haldex.
William Hughes is a distributor for the Garba 177PH from Haldex, a stainless spring wire which has been developed for applications where extra strength and performance are required.
Other well known brands available include Oteva, Nimonic and Ni-Span wires.
William Hughes has been involved in the supply of wire for over 200 years and its knowledge and experience are unmatched.
Rather than just supplying materials, William Hughes specialises in problem solving for its customers and has the technical resources to help its customers source exotic and unusual wire, as well as helping to solve a wide range of engineering and design challenges.
William Hughes carries stocks of literally thousands of wire types and is able to supply quickly to meet the specific requirements of its customers.
The company can supply small batch orders in coils or reels, wrapped or unwrapped and also in Z packs for larger quantities.
Some customers require their wire cut to length and this can be quickly arranged to meet exact requirements.
In addition to the supply of wire, William Hughes offers its customers the benefit of many years design and manufacturing experience.
A rapid design and prototyping service is available for wire products including springs and bent wire components.
Quality systems to ISO9002 and compliance with TS16949, the latest automotive standard, ensure consistency and accuracy of supply and by investing in the latest CNC machines and quality procedures, William Hughes assures continuity of supply.
