A Huron Technologies product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 13, 2006

Mould release coatings are formulated to eliminate many of the problems related to moulding composite friction materials.

A new line of mould release coatings for moulding friction materials has been developed by Huron Technologies.

Mould release coatings 6944, 7123 and 7153 are formulated to eliminate many of the problems related to moulding composite friction materials.

Mould release coatings 6944, 7123 and 7153 are nonsilicone water-based dilutable concentrates.

The new coatings provide fast, clean mould release for applications such as automobile and truck brake composite products.

Anyone moulding friction composite materials should consider testing these new mould releases to determine release and moulding advantages specific to their moulding processes.

Custom formulations can also be developed to meet specific release and moulding requirements.

The new mould release coatings have been used in automated moulding lines and perform efficiently, often reducing costs of manufacture.

Release coatings 6944, 7123 and 7153 are available in 55 gallon drums and 275 gallon totes.
