Heraeus Sensor-Nite has developed a novel range of low-cost high-accuracy temperature sensors in SMD flip-chip packages.

Heraeus Sensor-Nite has developed a novel range of low-cost high-accuracy temperature sensors in SMD flip-chip packages.

The sensors have a near-linear output and are suitable for use in the range -50 to +250C.

They are highly resistant to vibration and shock and are suitable for use in most temperature-measurement or temperature-compensation applications.

Based on established thin-film platinum technology, sensors are available with nominal resistances of 100 or 1000ohms at 0C and in tolerance classes of +/-0.12 or +/-0.24%.

Temperature coefficient is positive and complies with the DIN EN60751 standard.

Maximum drift over 1000 hours at 170C is less than 0.06%.

Available in SMD 805 and SMD 1206 flip-chip packages, sensors are supplied in reels which are compatible with all automated assembly techniques.

Heraeus Sensor-Nite are also able to supply Pt 100 and Pt 1000 sensors in standard SMD, TO92 and SOT 223 packages.
