Hydraulic design and analysis of water treatment

A Hydromantis product story

Aquavarra Research has provided international rights to Hydromantis for the distribution of Arts, software for the hydraulic design and analysis of complex water and wastewater treatment systems

Aquavarra Research of Dublin, Ireland has provided exclusive international rights to Hydromantis of Hamilton, Canada for the distribution and support of Arts hydraulic design software.

Arts is civil engineering software for the hydraulic design and analysis of complex water and wastewater treatment systems.

Arts was developed by Professor Tom Casey, an acknowledged expert in the field of hydraulic engineering of water systems.

Professor Casey, the founder of Aquavarra Research, has also authored hydraulic engineering and process design textbooks published by Oxford Press and Wiley and used by engineers worldwide.

Professor Casey developed Arts to fill a need in the industry for a comprehensive, yet intuitive tool to assist engineers with hydraulic design and analysis.

"Many wastewater engineers have been contacting us over the years asking for hydraulic design and profile analysis tools for wastewater treatment plants," says Laurence Smith, Hydromantis' Marketing Manager.

"We found that Professor Casey had developed an incredibly powerful engineering product that was ready for international commercialization." Arts provides a wide array of hydraulic design and analysis features that covers many aspects of water and wastewater systems including automatic design of system components, hydraulic profiles through treatment plants, waterhammer analysis, force mains and complex water distribution networks.

"This is the first commercial software product we have come across that does it all," says Smith.

"Professor Casey has done a tremendous job developing a software product that anticipates the needs of the practicing engineer.

There is a consistency between his authoring of engineering textbooks and the clear, methodological approach found in the Arts software," adds Smith.

Hydromantis develops and markets wastewater modelling products.

"Arts is a great fit for us," says Smith.

"We know that engineers in the water and wastewater industry are thirsting for a product like Arts.

Many treatment plants have both hydraulic and process problems and Arts complements our existing process simulation and costing products.

Arts version 1.2 is available for all Windows systems and sells for USD 1,950 per license outside Ireland.
