Hylec-APL has a smart new range of plug-socket connectors that are quick and easy to use.
The plugs provide up to IP68 ingress protection; each version has different locking capabilities though all provide protection from accidental disconnection.
The plugs come in a wide range of sizes including the Mini-Teeplug, to suit a wide variety of applications.
The fully approved all-weather Teeplug is being promoted exclusively by Hylec-APL based in Wellingborough, they are available from national UK stockists and direct to distributors and contractors from Hylec-APL.
Available in a range of sizes and pole configurations these products are designed to accommodate common round cable sizes (maximum diameter 14mm), and for the larger Teeplugs oval seal adapters are available for flat cables.
Different models come with varying IP ratings ranging from IP20 to IP68 allowing full submersion up to a depth of four meters.
A bulkhead mountable version is also available with a protective cap provided to close off access to power connections when disconnected.
To ensure ease of use there are red gaskets to make identification easier.
The materials, being silicone, have an excellent tensile E-Modulus and ageing resistance to provide longevity of the product.
A fast locking/unlocking version is available (IP65) or a fixing lock nut version (IP68).
There are also interchangeable Teeplug plug-socket connections available, adding even greater versatility to the range.
The weatherproof Teeplug from Hylec-APL is ideal for use in most sectors including civil and industrial electrical installations, automation and industrial applications, military, hydro-sanitary and aquariums.
With true versatility, adapters are available for soft or smaller cables to improve seal compression.
