Honeywell's latest safety management offering, Safety Manager PKS, increases safety and reliability, reduces process trips and reduces the cost and extent of safety incidents.
Safety Manager PKS is the next evolution of Honeywell's highly successful Fail Safe Controller (FSC) safety system - the global market leader in diagnostic-based safety management solutions for more than 15 years.
"Safety Manager PKS is based on Honeywell's field-proven quadruple modular redundant (QMR), diagnostic-based technology with a 2004D architecture, which offers unlimited run time for single channel operation, thus increasing process availability", said Asish Ghosh, Industry Analyst for the ARC Advisory Group.
"It provides tight integration with Experion PKS to offer unified safety system architecture, allowing improvements in both safety and availability of a manufacturing process".
Safety Manager PKS provides the basis for integrating SIL (safety integrity level) rated sensors and valve actuators in the field ensuring that safety functions are well in place to protect complex and hazardous processes.
It elevates safety practices such as process and emergency shutdowns, equipment protection, fire and gas monitoring and critical control.
