"Honeywell's Experion provides a rich feature-set for trending, reporting, archiving and auditability functions that are invaluable for everyday process applications and may prove to be equally beneficial as part of a fully integrated 'fiscal' metering solution".
Today's oil and gas fields and transportation networks are shared facilities, therefore each operator must protect their investment and make a profit.
By integrating fiscal flow measurements and centralizing the calculations, data will be more accurate, more manageable and ultimately more transparent to operators, partners and regulatory authorities.
MeterSuite includes calculations in accordance with relevant AGA and ISO standards.
All types of fiscal meters can be interfaced including orifice, turbine and ultrasonic and for the first time ever, these calculations will run inside a general-purpose process controller, Honeywell's C200.
MeterSuite will be available in late 2004.
The solution was developed jointly by Honeywell and Swinton Technology, an expert in metering.
The calculations have been tested and presented to the Department of Trade and Industry in the UK, which found the results to perform to expectations.
Honeywell's activities in metering include MeterSuite and the full turnkey delivery of an integrated solution, including the subcontracting of provers and skids, for the UK market.
Extension of the solution's coverage to other EMEA markets is planned for 2005.
