Invention Machine says it has made four new senior management appointments in the expectation of significant growth.

Invention Machine has announced four new senior management appointments.

John Canavari ha been promoted to Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Stephen Brown has been newly hired as Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Dave Stewart has been promoted to Vice President of Global Partner Business and Rebecca Henry has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing Programs and Communications.

"As a result of our strong performance in 2003, we have greatly enhanced our executive team in anticipation of growth expectations for 2004", says Mark Atkins, President and CEO of Invention Machine.

"In 2004, we expect to grow our worldwide sales force to more than three times its size in 2003 as we broaden our reach across the Global 5000 manufacturing companies".

As Vice President of Worldwide Sales, John Canavari will oversee sales across North America and Europe and is chartered with growing and managing the Invention Machine sales team worldwide.

Canavari brings to Invention Machine more than 20 years of sales, business development, and channel sales management experience.

Prior to joining Invention Machine, Canavari served as Vice President of Business Development at Vality Technology, where he was responsible for the global IBM relationship and IBM's role as reseller of Vality solutions.

Following the acquisition of Vality, by Ascential Software, in June 2002, Canavari continued to manage the global IBM relationship.

While at Vality, Canavari also held the position of Vice President of Sales and Operations for Vality EMEA, opening offices and building the European sales organisation in London and Paris.

Prior to Vality, Canavari served as Regional Sales Manager at ClientSoft and has held sales executive roles at Software 2000, American Software, and Ask.

He is a graduate of Clark University where he earned a BA in Economics.

Stephen M.

Brown holds Invention Machine's new position of Vice President of Strategic Marketing.

Brown is responsible for product marketing activities including the positioning and future evolution of the company's market strategy.

Before joining Invention Machine, he spent 10 years at Vality Technology, the industry's leading supplier of data quality software for the ERP, CRM, and business intelligence markets where he served as Vice President of Product Strategy until its acquisition by Ascential Software.

At Ascential, he served as Executive Director, leading Product Management and Marketing functions for Ascential's suite of data integration products.

Previously Brown had served 20 years in technology management and development capacities at Legent Corporation, Cullinet Software and Honeywell.

He is a graduate of Harvard University.

David Stewart has been promoted to Vice President of Global Partner Business and is responsible for development of global business partnerships, strategic alliances and channel sales management in Europe, Central and South America, and Asia - where interest in Innovation Process solutions has been strong.

Stewart joined Invention Machine in July 2002 to manage channel sales and business development worldwide.

Stewart brings over 12 years of experience in sales and support within software companies.

Previous to Invention Machine, he was a manager in the Storage Software division of Sun Microsystems and at HighGround Systems, acquired by Sun Microsystems for US $400 million.

Previous to HighGround, Stewart held sales and consulting positions at Vantive and Seer Technologies.

He has degrees in Economics and Computer Science from Lafayette College.

Rebecca Henry has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing Programs and Communications and is responsible for global public relations, lead generation and marketing programmes management.

Henry brings to Invention Machine over 10 years of enterprise software marketing and marketing programme management experience.

Prior to joining Invention Machine, Henry served as Director of Marketing at Celarix, a provider of supply chain visibility software and logistics integration that was acquired by Global eXchange Services in June 2003.

Henry has also held marketing management positions at Tessera Enterprise Systems and Vality Technology.

Henry is a graduate of Boston University where she earned a BA in English.
