New from Image Management Technologies (IMT), the DuncanTech DT4000 high-resolution digital camera acquires 1600 x 1200pixel images at 10frame/s.

New from Image Management Technologies (IMT), the DuncanTech DT4000 high-resolution digital camera acquires 1600 x 1200pixel images at 10frame/s.

The large-format 1in CCD sensor with 7.4-micron pixels provides excellent sensitivity, especially for shorter wavelengths.

The camera is available in both colour and monochrome configurations.

Colour models implement DuncanTech's real-time Accucolor technology to deliver full 24 or 30bit colour image data directly from the camera.

The DT4000 is available with a CameraLink data interface or parallel LVDS output.

Auto-exposure and white-balance controls make camera setup and operation easy, and full user control of gain, integration and colour balance enables adjustment for any operating environment.

A variety of trigger modes support synchronisation of image acquisition with external events.

The novel digital cross-hair display supports accurate camera targeting.

Image acquisition and processing is performed at 10bit pixel depth.

Image data output format can be set for 8 or 10bit pixel depth under software control.

DuncanTech's DTControl software provides a simple user interface for full control of all camera features.

The RS232 command protocol is also fully documented to enable custom applications to be developed by OEMs and systems integrators.

The DT4000 offers simultaneous output of an analogue video signal in parallel with the digital image data, allowing the user to select either high-resolution progressive scan formats at resolutions up to 1280 x 1024, or standard NTSC video formats under software control.

A multisync monitor can be plugged directly into the camera to display a crisp real-time preview of the image independent of the digital acquisition.

The DT4000 can be configured to support Nikon bayonet or C-mount optics, maximising its adaptability.

The lens mount also accommodates inline optical filters to enable special spectral configurations to be used.

Applications include scientific imaging, metrology, inspection and graphics imaging.
