Developer of software suite for real-time simulation and visualisation of the effects of component variation, assembly variation and component deformation has joined CAA V5 Adopter software community.
Icona Solutions, the developer of the Aesthetica software suite for real-time simulation and visualisation of the effects of component variation, assembly variation and component deformation in manufactured assemblies, has signed of an agreement with Dassault Systemes, a developer of PLM software and services.
Icona Solutions has become a member of Dassault's Component Application Architecture V5 (CAA V5) Adopter software community.
As a member of the programme, Icona gains access to the CAA V5 software ecosystem that underlies Dassault's V5 PLM products, including the Catia V5 collaborative product development and manufacturing software suite.
This will enable close integration of Aesthetica with Catia V5 and other V5-based PLM software products.
Icona will also benefit from technical support and guidance from Dassault's CAA V5 sales, service and training infrastructure.
"The benefit of our being a member of the CAA V5 Adopter Program is that users of both Aesthetica and Catia V5 can have full confidence in the integrity of the data that they transfer between the two environments during the real-time tolerance analysis simulation and visualisation process", said John Maxfield, Technical Director, Icona Solutions.
"This will lead to better designs and to higher quality in the final production vehicles".
