Icona Solutions has begun customer shipments of its new JT Open data import module for the reliable transfer of 3D product model data directly into the aesthetica environment.
Icona Solutions has begun customer shipments of its new JT Open data import module for the reliable transfer of 3D product model data directly into the aesthetica environment, improving the final fit-and-finish quality analysis process for automotive vehicle exteriors and interiors.
Icona Solutions joined the JT Open Programme as an ISV (independent software vendor) in March this year.
"The first users are now taking advantage of the ability that this new data import module gives them to reliably transfer 'lightweight' 3D solid and/or surface model data in JT format from popular CAD/CAM systems into aesthetica, where it can be used, together with data required for tolerance analysis, in the process of ensuring the optimum fit and finish quality of automotive vehicle assemblies and subassemblies", said Dr John Maxfield, Technical Director, Icona Soluitions.
