Expert advice on interconnect applications for the aerospace industry will be on offer throughout this year's Farnborough International Aerospace Exhibition.

Expert advice on interconnect applications, tailored specifically to meet the unique demands of the aerospace industry, will be on offer throughout this year's Farnborough International Aerospace Exhibition, courtesy of Icore International.

For the first time at Farnborough, Icore is taking space on the Smiths Group stand, a move that will make it easier and more convenient for visitors to evaluate the full range of innovative products and solutions offered by Smiths Aerospace companies.

During the exhibition, Icore's experts will be giving particular emphasis to the company's latest MST-ROOK range of corrosion-resistant composite connector backshells.

These versatile products are lightweight, strong and corrosion-proof.

In addition, they provide high-integrity EMC shielding, and incorporate a unique screen-termination device that provides significant assembly time benefits.

As a result of these special features, they offer cost reductions in initial assembly, inspection and maintenance for aerospace OEMs and end users alike.

The Icore team will also be giving prominence to Icore's innovative TTH high-performance corrosion-resistant surface treatment that offers a proven, non-toxic alternative to cadmium plating.

Providing corrosion protection that is up to 200% more effective than conventional plating, TTH surface treatment is ideally suited for use in aggressively corrosive environments.

Icore's expertise will also be available to Farnborough visitors in many other areas.

These include fluid transfer, where Icore offers aerospace-qualified PTFE flexible hoses, along with the Matzen and Timm family of fluid transfer solutions that are ideal for applications, such as air-conditioning or fuel transfer.
