An Icore International product story

Even when exposed to fire, Icore's latest range of Lohal ultra-lightweight flexible conduit emits no toxic smoke or fumes.

Even when exposed to fire, Icore's latest range of Lohal ultra-lightweight flexible conduit emits no toxic smoke or fumes, making it the ideal choice for safety critical applications in rail and underground systems, public buildings, and industrial installations.

The exceptional resistance of Lohal conduit to the effects of ionising radiation means that it is also an attractive option for use in the nuclear industry.

Manufactured from high-performance Peek, which is entirely free from halogens, Lohal flexible conduit can be supplied with a variety of metal braids, all of which provide efficient and effective EMI shielding, as well as ensuring excellent resistance to abrasion and crushing.

These features, together with an exceptionally wide operating temperature range of -55 to +250C, make Lohal conduit suitable for use in even the most demanding environments.

Lohal conduit is supplied in standard sizes with internal diameters from 4.4 to 24.2mm, but larger sizes can be manufactured to order.

The conduit is also offered in precut, customer-specified lengths which can be supplied ready for immediate installation, with end fittings already in place.

Lohal flexible conduit from Icore is fully compliant with the London Underground Limited code of practice for fire safety (Materials used in the Underground, August 1990 LUL report number C2796).

To complement its low-smoke, zero-halogen flexible conduit, Icore International offers a full range of fittings and accessories.

These include male and female end terminations, elbows, transitions, adapters and joiners, all of which are easy to fit, either on site, or in the workshop.
