Flixible conduit goes a long way

An Icore International product story

High-performance reinforced PTFE flexible conduit is now available in continuous lengths up to 40m.

High-performance reinforced PTFE flexible conduit is now available in continuous lengths up to 40m, making it much easier and less costly for users to provide effective, crush-proof protection for long cable harnesses, such as those frequently specified in power generation and transport-related applications.

This extension to Icore International's already wide range of flexible conduit products means that the costly and time-consuming process of joining short lengths of conduit to produce long runs is no longer needed, leading to big savings, and finished harnesses with enhanced reliability.

Full compatibility with Icore's standard end fittings, as well as with normal assembly techniques and tooling, mean the new conduit is particularly convenient and easy to use.

Icore International's new continuous-length flexible conduit is manufactured from convoluted PTFE with an annealed stainless-steel reinforcing wire, and is offered in versions with internal diameters from 4.6 to 25.4mm.

Sizes up to 12.7mm internal diameter can be supplied in lengths up to the full 40m, and larger sizes are available in lengths up to 20m.

All sizes and lengths can be supplied with a stainless-steel overbraid, for applications where extra mechanical protection is required.

Overbraids manufactured from other materials, to provide, for example, enhanced EMC performance, are also available to special order.

Continuous-length flexible conduit from Icore International maintains its performance and integrity over a temperature range of -70 to +240C.

This exceptionally wide operating temperature range, combined with resistance to the effects of virtually all commonly encountered chemicals make it an ideal choice for use in even the most difficult and demanding applications.
