Belarus-based design company standardises on Surf

BelAutoTraktorBuilding in the Republic of Belarus has ordered additional licences of ICEM Surf software.
ICEM's business partner in the Confederation of Independent States (CIS), Solver Engineering Company, has recently received an order from automotive vehicle design consultancy, BelAutoTraktorBuilding in the Republic of Belarus, for the provision and implementation of additional ICEM Surf software.
The software will be used in the design department of Minsk-based BelAutoTraktorBuilding on new vehicle design projects currently being undertaken for Minsk Autobus Plant, BelAZ (Belarusian Automobile Plant) and MAZ (Minsk Automobile Plant), among other automotive vehicle manufacturers in Belarus.
"ICEM Surf has become our preferred software solution for all our vehicle body and interior design development, Class A surface modelling and design visualisation requirements because it supports a design project workflow from concept right through to the generation of the final Class A surface model data required for manufacturing", said Sergey Kharytonchyk, head of the design department at BelAutoTraktorBuilding.
"This enables us to achieve the highest degree of surface quality and aesthetics in the shortest possible time".
Michael Vysotski, director general, BelAutoTraktorBuilding, added, "ICEM Surf helps us to solve design problems that others either cannot or find very difficult to solve.
As a result, we have become the leading supplier of computer-based design development services in Belarus.
The additional ICEM Surf software will enable us to increase the level of service we can give our customers".
Among some of the design projects on which BelAutoTraktorBuilding has used ICEM Surf most recently are the design of new interior and exterior components for the triple-axle 15m-long MAZ-107 bus for the Autobus division of Minsk Automobile Plant, the design of a new cabin for an off-highway rigid haul truck for BelAZ, the design of exterior components for the MTZ-2522 tractor for Minsk Tractor Plant and the design and visualisation of a new module truck concept for Minsk Automobile Plant.
