Executives from some of ICEM's major customers will give presentations on their own companies' use of ICEM software at the ICEM European Users Group Conference in Barcelona.

Executives from some of ICEM's major customers will give presentations on their own companies' use of ICEM software at the ICEM European Users Group Conference, 2005, taking place in Barcelona on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th September.

Toshio Yamashita, Managing Director, Nissan Design Centre, Japan, Jeff King, Digital Design Data Manager, Styling Department, Bentley Motors, UK, Wayne Morgan, Senior Manager, Surfacing and Cubing, Land Rover and Jaguar Cars, UK and Thierry Chevalier, Head of Methods, Aerodynamics Design and Data Department, Airbus Industrie, France have all accepted invitations to describe to conference delegates the ways in which ICEM software has helped their respective companies in the design development of their latest products.

These include the new Nissan Note (which is currently available only in Japan), the new Bentley Continental Flying Spur, the new Land Rover Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport and the world's largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A380.

Delegates at the conference, which is cosponsored by Dassault Systemes and Hewlett Packard, will also hear from Philippe Laufer, a Director of Research and Development for Catia V5 at Dassault Systemes.

He will describe the importance and the added value of the Gold Software Partnership between ICEM and Dassault Systemes, which has resulted in the development of ICEM's new generation surface modelling software suite, ICEM Shape Design.

The conference will provide the first opportunity for ICEM software users to see a demonstration of the new ICEM Shape Design software suite during an important presentation by Pete Moorhouse, Director, Product Marketing, ICEM.

This new software suite has been designed to fully integrate with Dassault Systemes CAA V5 software architecture - the architecture that underlies the Catia V5 collaborative product development and manufacturing software suite.

There will also be a presentation on the latest developments in ICEM's existing and well-established software suite, ICEM Surf 4.5, which introduces a number of new and enhanced surface modelling facilities which will be of particular interest to many existing users.

In addition to the formal conference sessions there will also be a series of workshops in which attendees will have the opportunity to have an in-depth look at the latest developments, including ICEM Surf 4.5, ICEM Shape Design, design visualisation tools and advanced surface modelling technologies.

Running alongside the conference and the workshop sessions on both days will be informal demonstrations by a number of ICEM's technology partners who will be featuring their latest developments in hardware and software to support ICEM's surface modelling, reverse engineering and design visualisation software.

A series of optional, one-day training classes on ICEM Surf 4.5 will follow the main conference on Wednesday 28th September.
