ICEM is to participate in the COE 2006 Aerospace Industry Workshop taking place at the Hyatt Regency Wichita, Wichita, Kansas, USA on 17th and 18th October.

The event is the first forum in which the aerospace industry will be able to see demonstrations of the new ICEM Shape Design software suite in the design development and engineering of aircraft external surfaces, such as nose fuselages, belly fairings, engine pylons and nacelles and wing components etc, as well as in the design of interiors for business and private jets.

ICEM Shape Design provides a range of highly intuitive software tools for the digital creation, validation and modification of any type of surface, from freeform surfaces to complex mechanical shapes.

Having been developed on the Dassault Systemes CAA V5 software architecture, it integrates seamlessly with Dassault's Catia V5 collaborative product development and manufacturing software suite, which is used extensively throughout the aerospace industry.

"The aerospace industry is an increasingly important market for ICEM", explained Michael Check, General Manager, ICEM.

"This event is therefore an ideal opportunity for ICEM to demonstrate the benefits of its latest software developments to an influential gathering of senior engineers and designers from the aerospace sector".

The COE 2006 Aerospace Industry Workshop is expected to attract some 500 delegates from around the world and is designed to provide a collaborative forum to drive innovation and maximise productivity through the use of CAD/CAM/CAE and product lifecycle management (PLM) technology and services from Dassault Systemes, IBM and their partners.
