Cirrus Design has invested in the ICEM Surf software solution for implementation at its worldwide headquarters in Minnesota.

Cirrus Design, one of the world's leading manufacturers of single-engine piston-powered aircraft, has invested in the ICEM Surf software solution for implementation at its worldwide headquarters in Minnesota.

The software is being deployed in Cirrus' design department in Duluth, Minnesota where it will be used extensively in the design development of interior components and exterior aircraft surfaces to enhance the overall design and engineering development workflow and help improve final quality.

"The quality of general aviation products is constantly improving and we need to maintain our leadership in this competitive market".

"We feel the dynamic 3D modelling and real-time design visualisation capabilities of ICEM Surf, along with its extensive surface model analysis and validation facilities will bring major improvements to our manufacturing process and help us achieve our goal", said Pat Waddick, Senior Vice President of Engineering.

Adding Cirrus Design to the growing list of aircraft and aerospace companies using ICEM software tools is a significant step for ICEM.

More companies in this industry sector are looking to ICEM for the tools to perform conceptual 3D modelling and final surface release.

"We are pleased to have Cirrus Design as a new partner, says Michael Check, General Manager ICEM, Their commitment to design and innovation is compelling and exciting for us".

"We look forward to a long partnership with Cirrus Design".
