Troubleshooting and problem solving of Modbus Plus

An IDC Technologies product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 13, 2005

IDC Technologies is running a two-day workshop on "Troubleshooting and problem solving of Modbus Plus protocols" around the UK during July 2005.

IDC Technologies is running a two-day workshop on "Troubleshooting and problem solving of Modbus Plus protocols" in Manchester on 18th and 19th July, in Edinburgh on 21st and 22nd July and in London on 25th and 26th July 2005.

The objective of this workshop is to help delegates identify, prevent and fix common industrial datacommunications problems focussing on the Modbus protocol.

Modbus based industrial communications systems (based on RS232/RS485 and Ethernet) are being installed throughout industry today.

Delegates will gain an understanding of the protocols and standards that transport Modbus.

These include such standards as RS485/RS232 and Ethernet (preferably Industrial Ethernet) and TCP/IP.

Modbus, effectively one of the few (arguably, the only) industrial messaging protocols recognised by the Internet world (port 502) has one of the largest installed bases worldwide with more than 7.2 million installed nodes.
