Course presents fundamentals of HVAC

IDC Technologies is presenting its HVAC workshop, "Practical fundamentals of heating, ventilation and air conditioning", in Birmingham on 13th and 14th October, in Manchester on 17th and 18th October and in Glasgow on 20th and 21st October This workshop is designed for engineers and technicians from a wide range of abilities and backgrounds and will provide an excellent introduction to the fundamentals of heating, ventilation and air conditioning

Workshop explains power system harmonics
IDC Technologies is presenting a workshop on "Practical power system harmonics, earthing and power quality" for engineers and technicians in cities around the UK and Ireland in April 2005.
It commences with a review of psychrometric charts and then examines the factors that influence design choices, indoor air quality, load calculations and heating/ventilation and air conditioning systems.
The instructor, Bruce Wernick, PrEng BSc(Eng), has been involved in all aspects of the air conditioning industry.
This includes research, manufacturing, contracting, design and consulting.
After graduating in 1982, he was engaged in post graduate research on the long term performance of heat pumps.
In 1990, he joined HC Airconditioning Equipment Manufacturers (1990-1993) as the Engineering Manager where he was involved in the development and manufacturing of air conditioning equipment.
With extensive knowledge in the design and manufacture of equipment, he then joined a leading air conditioning contracting company, Airgro, as Project Engineer (1994-2000).
Here, he was involved mainly in design and supply projects where he gained invaluable experience in the whole process from design to installation and commissioning.
Currently, he is a director of TechniSolve Software where he is involved in consulting and software development for the air conditioning industry.
Wernick has recently returned from Canada, where he presented the HVAC workshop to outstanding reviews.
He is a passionate and enthusiastic instructor.
