IDC Technologies is presenting a two-day workshop that is being run under the theme 'Programmable Logic Controllers for Automation and Process Control' at three locations in the UK.
It is being held in Glasgow on the 10th and 11th November 2005, in Birmingham on the 14th and 15th, and in Manchester on the 17th and 18th.
This workshop presents practical up-to-date information on the application of PLCs to the automation and process control of plants and factories.
The skills necessary to plan, program and install PLCs will be taught.
The information contained in this workshop advances from the basics to challenge even the most experienced engineer in the industry today.
The accompanying 600-page manual includes contributions from a number of experts and is a valuable reference document.
The workshop instructor, Rodney Jacobs, has over 20 years' experience in the gold mining industry, both underground, as well as specialising in Metallurgical operations in the Gold Plants.
He has worked predominately in the instrumentation, process control and automation field, and is responsible for hardware and software designs associated with instrumentation.His areas of special interest include PLCs, SCADA systems, process control and programming.
Having spent many years on the shop-floor, Jacobs has built up a vast amount of hands-on practical experience.
