IDC Technologies is presenting a workshop on "Practical power system harmonics, earthing and power quality" for engineers and technicians in cities around the UK and Ireland in April 2005.
The workshop aims to provide engineers and technicians with the skills to identify, prevent and troubleshoot industrial communications problems.
By the end of the course, attendees should be capable of analysing, diagnosing and fixing 60 of the most common problems that occur in industrial communication systems.
These include RS232, RS485, fibre optic, Fieldbus and Ethernet.
The second workshop, also a two-day one, is Practical Fundamentals of OLE for Process Control (OPC) and is to run in Edinburgh on the 13th and 14th February, in Manchester on the 23rd and 24th and in Cardiff on the 27th and 28th.
