IDC Technologies is running a 2-day workshop on "Wireless, Ethernet and TCP/IP networking" in London on 12th and 13th February 207, in Birmingham on 15th and 16th February and in Manchester on 19th and 20th February.

There will be immediate benefits gained as a result of attending this practical workshop.

Delegates will leave understanding current wireless LAN (WLAN) technologies and will have learnt how to apply them to industrial automation, an office and an industrial plant.

Skills needed to interface this to Ethernet will also be acquired.

An understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the different WLAN technologies will be gained as will the operation of IEEE802.11 WLANs.

How to implement effective security on wireless and Ethernet LANs will be learned and the ability to conduct a site survey in preparation for WLAN implementation will be attained.
