Safety control system extended to Fire and Gas
ICS Triplex has announced a new, universal zone module that extends the functionality of its flagship Trusted TMR critical control and safety system to include Fire and Gas (FandG) applications
The OPC Server software resides on the system host network and makes the information in the Trusted(tm) fault-tolerant controller available to the OPC clients in Delta V or any other OPC compliant DCS or SCADA package.
OPC Client connections are made by simply dragging and dropping tag names from one system window to the other - what could be simpler! Physical connection is made by a single or dual-redundant Ethernet link with all redundancy management designed in.
*TMR - Triple Modular Redundant By creating an industry standard, truly open link into the Trusted(tm) System for DCS, Graphics, SCADA or similar applications, ICS Triplex has freed system designers from the straight jacket of a proprietary interface, or the complexity of intelligent MODBUS gateways, saving project costs and increasing system performance.
