ICS Triplex has received the Leonard Grand Prize in Innovation for its newest version of automation software, ISaGraf 5.0.

The award was presented to a representative of ICS Triplex ISaGraf at the Automation Optimation tradeshow in Paris in the category of Software Solution.

"We are very pleased to have received the Grand Prix in Innovation for our most recent technological development", said Nicolas Jouvray, European Sales Director.

"ISaGraf 5.0 certainly raises the bar in automation software innovation with its new features and compliance with both IEC61131 and IEC61499 international standards".

IEC61499 is an emerging standard that presents guidelines for the use of function blocks in distributed industrial process, measurement and control systems.

It provides a number of remarkable benefits including: the regulation of the flow of control decisions for an interacting distributed control system; providing for the consistency of data; providing a means to ensure synchronous operation between devices; eliminating the need to have separate synchronisation schemes; and easing the development and maintenance of robust control systems.
