ISaGRAF automation software is compatible with Beck IPC's popular IPC@Chip SC123/SC143 series of embedded web controllers.

ISaGRAF automation software is compatible with Beck IPC's popular IPC@Chip SC123/SC143 series of embedded web controllers.

Local I/O drivers are available, additional drivers can be developed on request.

The ISaGRAF 5 automation software can also be used with the Beck DK61 IPC@Chip development kit and the DK60 development board, which are used for building applications based on the IPC@Chip SC123/SC143.

With ISaGRAF 5, Beck IPC@Chip users have the option of using the IEC61499 standard to easily create distributed control applications.

IEC61499 presents guidelines for the use of function blocks to control and manage distributed industrial process, measurement and control systems.

The IEC61499 standard provides a number of significant benefits to distributed applications including: the regulation of the flow of control decisions for an interacting distributed control system; providing for the consistency of data; providing a means to ensure synchronous operation between devices; eliminating the need to have separate synchronisation schemes; and easing the development and maintenance of robust control systems.

IEC 61499 also has the ability to encapsulate automation functionality such that machine builders can create IEC61499 function blocks for different components of the machine and only need to assemble them to achieve the desired operation.

It provides the benefits of object-oriented programming in an environment accessible to automation engineers.

ISaGRAF 5 is the world's first commercially available IEC61499 automation software.

It offers unparalleled functionality and benefits by incorporating both the IEC61131-3 and IEC61499 standards.

Using ISaGRAF 5, any field device manufacturer has the ability to turn their equipment into an IEC61499 product.

For example, intelligent flow meters can act as a regulator and control a valve while being part of an integrated distributed control system.

The Beck IPC@Chip SC123/SC143 series of embedded web controllers boasts features such as a 96MHz CPU, 8Mbyte RAM, up to 8Mbyte Flash, two Ethernet interfaces, two CAN interfaces, USB and preinstalled Beck RTOS.

The Beck RTOS includes software functions such as: security protocols (SSH, SSL, IPSec), Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, API for CAN controller, and API for elementary USB slave functions.

The DK61 development kit is a complete ready-to-use development system for building applications based on the IPC@Chip SC123/SC143 embedded controllers and includes both hardware and software components required for a basic development.

The Beck DK60 IPC@Chip development board features two Ethernet interfaces, four RS232 ports, two CAN interfaces, USB, CF and SD card connectors.
