Further modules for Idec's MicroSmart PLC include 24vdc supply 20 and 40 I/O CPUs in a conventional "slim-line" style, analogue and digital I/O modules and a small HMI display.

IDEC Electronics are pleased to announce the introduction of further modules that complement the new MicroSmart PLC and are available now at IDEC's Basingstoke headquarters These include 24vdc supply 20 and 40 I/O CPUs, analogue and digital I/O modules and a small HMI display

The new CPU's in a conventional "slim-line" style require a 24vdc supply and come in 20 I/O and 40 I/O options.

Inputs are 24vdc and various combinations of relay and transistor outputs are provided.

Additional base modules which connect to the side of the CPU provide extra communications capability and the ability to use the small HMI display which shows and can change timer/counter/register/calendar/I/O status etc.

New modules are added to the expander I/O range.

These include 32 channel inputs and outputs, 16 channel transistor output module, a combined 16 channel input and 8 relay output module and analogue modules.

The analogue modules provide 4-20ma, 0-10v, thermocouple and RTD options.

With the introduction of the "slim-line" CPU complimenting the existing "all-in-one" style CPU together with additional expander modules, the selection of the correct I/O (up to 264) to give the most cost effective solution is always possible.

Standard on all MicroSmart's is the option of adding RS232/RS485 communications, a real time clock and programme module.

The RS485 Datalink network links up to 32 MicroSmarts making distributed control very easy.

With built in features like analogue potentiometers, selectable high speed counters, catch and interrupt inputs the MicroSmart PLC is designed to meet every control situation.
