The HG2F touchscreen, which is brighter, faster and slimmer than before, is Idec's latest and greatest operator display.

The HG2F touchscreen, which is brighter, faster and slimmer than before, is Idec's latest and greatest operator display.

The HG2F series provides 256 colours with an amazing 192 touch regions per screen.

With 2Mbyte of memory and 133MHz 32bit operation the HG2F packs a lot of application power.

With a display size of 5.7in, the HG2F provides colour or monochrome options with or without "CC click" areas.

"CC-click" is Idec's patented technology which provides unique tactile feedback.

Direct connection to a programmable controller is the basic way of using the HG2F but it is also possible to link several touchscreens back to the PLC either via their own network or using Datalink, Idec's own network, which can provide display devices and PLCs on the same link.

The HG2F is programmed with WindO/I-NV2, an upgraded version of WindO/I which also provides drivers for other manufacturers PLCs, at no extra cost, communicating through the HG2F RS232 or RS485 ports.

WindO/I-NV2, has an internal library of bitmap images and also an intuitive graphic user interface for easy configuration of applications.

Two other features worth mentioning are the field replaceable backlight and the conformance with UL1604 standard for use in hazardous locations.

Options include 24V DC supply, RS232 or RS485 ports, colour or monochrome, conventional touchscreen or touchscreen with four "CC click" areas.
