Idec Electronics has expanded its HG1X series of text message displays as part of its complete line of HG family operator interfaces.

Idec Electronics has expanded its HG1X series of text message displays as part of its complete line of HG family operator interfaces.

The newest model is the HG1X-822, an 8 x 20 character display.

This simple monochrome display has four function keys, an integrated numeric keypad and navigation keys.

It also supports black and white bitmap (BMP) images with a maximum size of 128 x 64 pixel.

The other additions are HG1X two- and four-line displays in 24V DC models.

These new models are more flexible and now support both RS232 and RS485 communications.

Other recent additions are the HGF 10.4 and 12.1in colour touchscreens.

With resolutions of 640 x 480 and 800 x 600 pixel, respectively, RS232C/RS485/RS422/Ethernet ports and a CompactFlash card for alarm and trend logging, they are well suited for those larger applications.

Idec's commitment to HMI is emphasised by the continual additions to this family series.

The touchscreens are programmed from the same software package which includes many drivers for other manufacturers' PLCs.
