The SmartRelay FL1C series is the next generation of SmartRelay devices, complemented by the updated programming software WindLGC version 4.0.

The SmartRelay FL1A series was introduced approximately 3 years ago to fill the gap between simple relay/timer/counter control circuits and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Now with the FL1C series, a new 32bit processor provides faster scan time, double the program memory and 130 function blocks for programming, meaning the number of counters and timers is almost unlimited.

Think of all the components that can be replaced with just one Idec SmartRelay.

It has a 4 x 12 character backlit LCD screen, shift registers and cursor keys that can be configured as inputs.

The new memory cartridge allows users to define the system security to what is required.

Seven types of base module allow for any voltage supply to be catered for and five different expansion modules add extra inputs/outputs if required.

In addition AS-interface and LonWorks communication modules are available.

WindLGC V4.0 provides additional enhancements that allow for greater ease in using the FL1C series.

New features include online monitoring, easy ladder programming (similar to a PLC) as well as function block, program comparison, time simulation and four new function blocks.

WindLGC V4.0 can run on Windows XP, Me, 2000, 98, 95 and NT.

For existing FL1A and FL1B users, the software is backward compatible, and so programs written for older versions can be uploaded/downloaded using WindLGC V4.0.

Options include 12V DC, 24V AC/DC, or 100 to 240V AC/DC supply and input options, 0 to 10V analogue inputs, 1kHz high speed counters and relay or transistor outputs.
