Idec Electronics has introduced the latest members of its PS5R-S range of switched mode DIN rail mounted plastic power supplies.

Idec Electronics has introduced the latest members of its PS5R-S range of switched mode DIN rail mounted plastic power supplies.

The new models are designed to provide the power of a traditional power supply in half the space.

The 120W and 240W products complement the existing 30W, 60W and 90W slim line power supplies.

The emphasis is on reduced width to keep DIN rail space to a minimum.

But up to date technology in power supply design means the slim power supply overall dimensions have been reduced dramatically compared to those of the established PS5R Classic power supplies of equivalent wattage said Idec.

Like all Idec switching power supplies the PS5R Slimline has worldwide CE, UL and CSA approvals, fused inputs and overvoltage and overcurrent protection.

The 120W and 240W have voltage low indication.

They are DIN rail or direct surface mountable and have universal voltage inputs accommodating 85 - 264vac and 100 - 370vdc.

No de-rating means the Slimline can be used at 100 per cent current capability up to 60 degrees C claimed Idec.
